# Change your language

How to change the language of the GenToon site, and how to switch your notifications and emails to the same language.

https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/account/language · Last updated October 30, 2026

## Overview

GenToon is available in 21 languages. You can change the site language at any time, and your choice is saved in the browser you’re using.

On the website, changing the site language **doesn’t automatically change the language of your notifications and emails**. When you switch, you can choose to change them too. The GenToon app works differently: changing the language in **Profile** › **Language** in the app changes your notification and email language right away, and it’s set to the app’s language again each time you start the app. Automatic SNS posts are also written in your notification and email language.

## Where to find it

Click the globe icon in the top menu to open the list of languages. Each language is written in its own name, so you can find yours even if you can’t read the current page. The studio doesn’t have this menu, so change your language from another page, such as the home page or Community.

## Step by step

1. Click the globe icon at the top of the screen.

2. Choose a language from the list. The site switches to that language right away.
3. If you’re signed in and your notification language is different from the language you chose, you’ll see **Get notifications in this language too?**. To switch notifications and emails too, click **Yes, switch**; to leave them as they are, click **Keep it**.

## Good to know

> **Note:** The notification language prompt closes on its own after a little while. If you missed it, choose your current language from the list again and it reappears.

> **Note:** Your site language is saved in the browser you’re using. On other devices or browsers, choose it again. If you open GenToon by typing gentoon.ai into the address bar, it may open in Korean. If that happens, choose your language again with the globe icon.

> **Tip:** Changing the site language doesn’t change the currency of plan prices (Korean won or US dollars). Prices show in won if your browser’s language setting is Korean and in dollars otherwise, and if you’re signed in and have paid before, they show in the currency of the payment method you used. For details, see [Plans at a glance](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/credits-and-billing/plans).

## FAQ

**I changed the site language, but emails still arrive in my old language.**

On the website, your notification and email language changes separately from the site language. It only switches when you click **Yes, switch** in the prompt that appears when you change languages, and you can see the prompt again by choosing your current language from the list. If you also use the GenToon app, your notification and email language is set to the app’s language each time you start the app, so also set **Profile** › **Language** in the app to the language you want.

**Can I change the language in settings?**

On the website, you change it with the globe icon in the top menu, not in settings. There’s no language option in **Account**. In the GenToon app, you can change it in **Language** on the **Profile** tab.
