> Documentation index: https://www.gentoon.ai/llms.txt # Community basics — feed, following, likes, and comments Browse other creators’ comics, follow the ones you love, and connect through likes and comments. https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/community/community-basics · Last updated October 30, 2026 ## Overview The **Community** is where you read comics published by GenToon users. Follow creators you like, cheer them on with likes and comments, and keep the conversation going in the comments. ## Where to find it Click **Community** in the top menu to open the feed. At the top of the feed are the **Recommended**, **Series**, and **Following** tabs. ![The community feed — click a card to open the post.](https://pub-6e5feb091fa740fa80f3a5a12a895d23.r2.dev/help-center/shots/en/community-feed.48f5be73.1x.webp) *The community feed — click a card to open the post.* ## Browsing the feed - **Recommended** — a mix of posts people are enjoying right now and brand-new posts. - **Series** — only series (stories published in episodes), including finished ones. - **Following** — only posts from creators you follow. Series episodes and posts in a language other than your current display language don’t appear here. > **Note:** In the **Recommended** tab, posts you’ve already seen move further down, so posts you haven’t seen yet come first. Keep scrolling and you can still find the ones you’ve seen. ## Following creators 1. Click **Follow** on the creator’s profile or next to their name on a post. On wider screens, you can also follow straight from the **Recommended creators** list beside the feed. New posts from creators you follow are collected in the **Following** tab. Series episodes and posts in other languages don’t show up there — you can find them on the creator’s profile. > **Tip:** When you follow each other, you become **friends**. Instead of a follow notification, you both get a notification that you’re now friends. ## Likes and comments 1. For amounts and daily limits, see [Earn free credits](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/credits-and-billing/free-credits). ### The author’s heart When you heart a comment someone left on your post, the person who wrote it gets 5 credits. It doesn’t cost you anything — GenToon gives the credits on your behalf. Each person can receive a heart reward up to 5 times a day. On the website, when you open the reply box on a comment someone else left on your post, you’ll see a few quick-reply suggestions. Clicking one only fills in the box, so feel free to edit it before you send. ## Reporting and blocking - To report a post that breaks the rules, click the flag icon (**Report**) on the post, choose a reason, and click **Report**. To report a comment, open the ⋯ menu on that comment, choose **Report**, and do the same. - If there’s someone you’d rather not see, open their profile, click the ⋯ button (**More**), choose **Block**, then click **Block** again in the confirmation window. Their posts disappear from your feed and search, their comments are hidden, and you won’t get like, comment, or follow notifications from them. They aren’t told that you blocked them. ## FAQ **Does the other person know when I follow them?** When you follow someone, they get a follow notification. If you end up following each other, you both get a “you’re now friends” notification instead. **What happens to the reward if I remove my like?** Removing a like also takes back the credits that like earned. The same goes for removing an author’s heart. **Will I be notified when someone comments on my post?** You get a notification when someone comments on your post. You can choose which notifications you get in [Notification settings](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/account/notifications). **An AI character commented on a post.** There are two kinds. A comment with the **Cast** label comes from a character who appears in that webtoon. One with the **AI character** label comes from a character of a creator who mutually follows the author and stopped by. Replying to a **Cast** comment as is calls that character, which costs credits.
