# Buy credits

How to buy credit packs when you run low on plan credits — on the web and in the app.

## Overview

A credit pack is a one-time purchase of credits. It isn’t a subscription, so you’re never charged again automatically. Purchased credits **don’t reset each month**, and they’re used after your plan credits run out.

> **Tip:** These are regular prices. **If you’re paying for a plan subscription**, you can top up at the lower subscriber price. It usually doesn’t apply to a plan you use through a coupon or pass. Each credit pack on the **Pricing** page shows both prices.

## Where to find it

- Scroll down the **Pricing** page to **Buy Credits**.
- In the Studio, you can also click your credit number at the bottom left to open **My Credits**, then click **Buy Credits**. The **Pricing** page then opens at the top, so scroll down to the **Buy Credits** section.

## Buying on the web

1. While signed in, scroll down the **Pricing** page to **Buy Credits**.

2. On the **Pricing** page, click **Buy Now** on the pack you want and complete the payment. If you pay in Korean won (₩), the Toss Payments window opens; if you pay in US dollars (US$), the Polar checkout page opens. Prices in Korean won include VAT; when you pay in US dollars, tax for your country may be added at checkout.

3. Once the payment on **Pricing** goes through, credits are added automatically. In the Studio, click your credit number at the bottom left to open **My Credits**, and check that **Purchased Credits** went up.

## Buying in the app

In the GenToon app, go to the **Profile** tab and tap **Top up** next to your credit balance to open the **Membership** screen. On its **Credits** tab, pick a pack and pay through the App Store or Google Play. The store shows prices in your local currency. On Android, if Google Play billing is paused in your country, you can’t buy in the app — this screen tells you so before you try.

- Credits you buy in the app go into the same account’s **Purchased Credits**, so you can use them in the web Studio too.
- The app sells credit packs only — memberships aren’t sold in the app.
- Apple or Google handle receipts and refunds for in-app purchases. If the store refunds a purchase, those credits are taken back as well.

## Good to know

> **Important:** If you see **Payment confirmation pending** after paying, **don’t pay again** — the confirmation may just be delayed. Check **Billing History** and your credit balance after a little while, and if it still hasn’t gone through, [contact us](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/support/contact-support).

> **Note:** Credit-pack credits pay for anything that costs credits, such as drawing. Buying credits doesn’t add plan benefits. Benefits such as watermark removal or how many characters you can keep depend on your plan. [Plans at a glance](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/credits-and-billing/plans)

## FAQ

**Should I get a plan or buy credits?**

If you create regularly, a plan gives you a lower price per credit. If you only need credits now and then, packs are more convenient. Topping up while you’re paying for a plan subscription gets you the subscriber price (it usually doesn’t apply to a plan you use through a coupon or pass). You can compare both on the **Pricing** page.

**Do purchased credits disappear next month?**

Purchased credits don’t disappear each month. Only plan credits reset monthly, and purchased credits stay even if you cancel your plan.

**I paid, but the credits didn’t arrive.**

Purchased credits usually arrive as soon as the payment goes through. Refresh the page and check **My Credits** again. If they’re still missing, don’t pay again — [contact us](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/support/contact-support) with the time and amount of the payment.

**Can I give my credits to someone else?**

Credits you hold can’t be transferred to another person.
