# Watermarks — which plans have one and how to remove it

Find out which plans add a GenToon watermark to your downloads, and how to remove it or replace it with your own logo.

## Overview

Depending on your plan, downloaded comic images include a GenToon watermark. It appears in the bottom-right corner of each panel as a pink-and-purple handwritten “Gentoon” logo. [Reel videos](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/export-and-share/reels#sound-and-watermark) carry the text “gentoon.ai” instead, on the same plans.

The **Free**, **Lite**, and **Starter** plans add a watermark, and the **Pro** and **Premium** plans save images without one. On the **Premium** plan, you can also use **your own logo** instead of the GenToon logo.

## Where to check it

Go to **Account** › **Subscription** and scroll down to **Watermark Settings** to see the watermark for each plan. All three rows — **GenToon Watermark**, **Watermark Removed**, and **Custom Watermark** — are listed, and the row for your current plan is highlighted.

The preview in the download window also shows the watermark exactly as it will be saved, so you can check before saving.

## Removing the watermark

1. On **Pricing**, switch to the **Pro** plan or higher. For details, see [Change your plan](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/credits-and-billing/change-plan).

2. After switching to the **Pro** plan or higher, open the same project in the Studio and click **Download** again.

3. On the **Pro** plan or higher, the preview has no watermark. Check it, then save. Downloading again doesn’t use any credits.

## Using your own logo

Uploading your own logo is available on the **Premium** plan only. A logo you’ve uploaded keeps appearing on downloads even after you switch to **Pro**, so if you don’t want that, delete it with **Delete** before you switch.

1. Go to **Account** › **Subscription** and scroll down to **Watermark Settings**.
2. Upload your logo under **Upload Watermark Image**. Use one of the file types and stay within the size shown on screen.
3. From your next download on, your logo appears in the bottom-right corner of each panel. It’s smaller and lighter than the GenToon logo. Your logo is added only to downloaded images — not to community posts, posts from **SNS Auto**, or reel videos. To replace or remove it, click **Change** or **Delete**.

## Good to know

> **Note:** The watermark is added **at the moment you download**. Changing your plan doesn’t change files you already saved, so download again after you switch.

> **Note:** Posts you publish to the community don’t show the download watermark. However, the preview card that appears when you paste a post link into a messenger or social app always carries a small GenToon badge, whatever your plan.

> **Note:** Posts you share to Instagram or Threads straight from **SNS Auto** carry the GenToon mark under the same plan rules as downloads. For exceptions and details, see [SNS automation at a glance](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/sns/sns-basics#marks).

> **Tip:** The same rules apply when you save from the Studio in the app. The app preview doesn’t show the watermark, but it’s added when you save. One exception: when you share or save a webtoon made in an app chat as an image, it carries the GenToon logo on every plan.

## FAQ

**I upgraded, but I still see a watermark.**

Files you already saved keep their watermark even after you upgrade. Download the same comic again. For a reel video, make the video again. If you still see the watermark, [contact us](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/support/contact-support).

**Does removing the watermark cost credits?**

Removing the watermark doesn’t cost credits. You only need the **Pro** plan or higher, and downloading again is free.

**Do the **Lite** and **Starter** plans add a watermark too?**

The **Lite** and **Starter** plans also add a watermark. To save without one, you need the **Pro** plan or higher. You can change your plan on the **Pricing** page ([Change your plan](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/credits-and-billing/change-plan)).

**Will buying credits remove the watermark?**

Buying credits doesn’t remove the watermark. Purchased credits are for drawing, and watermark removal is a plan benefit.
