## Overview

Most of what you do on GenToon happens in four places: the **Studio**, where you make comics; **Projects**, where your projects and characters live; the **Community**, where you read other people’s comics; and **Account**, where you manage your subscription and account. Use this page as a map whenever you’re not sure where to go. It describes the GenToon website. In the app, you move between screens with the tabs along the bottom — see [Using GenToon on the web and in the app](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/getting-started/web-and-app) for the differences.

## The top menu

| Menu | What it’s for |
| --- | --- |
| GenToon logo | Takes you back to the home page. |
| **Characters** | The character shop. Browse ready-made characters from GenToon and bring them into your own characters. |
| **Community** | Read comics other people have published, and leave likes and comments. |
| **Studio** | Opens the Studio, where you make comics. |
| MCP | Shows how to use GenToon from AI apps like Claude and ChatGPT. It appears in the top bar only when your window is wide enough; on a narrow screen such as a phone, it’s in the ☰ menu. |
| **Resources** menu (question-mark icon) | Takes you to the Help Center, FAQ, and Learning Center — and to the Blog, when there are blog posts in your language. |
| Notifications (bell icon) | Check new activity such as comments and likes. |
| Your profile picture | Opens your profile menu. |

Use the **Pricing** menu to compare plans and buy credits.

> **Note:** In a narrower window, some menu items show only as icons or drop out of the top bar. On a very narrow screen such as a phone, tap the ☰ button next to the logo to open the menu. If your plan can create workspaces or you’ve joined a team workspace, you’ll also see a workspace button showing your current space (**Personal Space** or a team name). See [Team workspaces](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/teams/workspace-basics) for more. To change the site’s language, use the globe icon — see [Change your language](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/account/language).

## Your profile menu

Click your profile picture on the right side of the top menu to open it. The series you subscribe to and the ones you’re reading are collected under **My library** in this menu.

- **Community Profile** — See your public Community profile and the comics you’ve published, and change your name and profile photo here.
- **Log Out** — Sign out on the device you’re using.

## The Studio

This is where you actually make comics. Panels stack vertically on the canvas in the middle. The tabs on the left are **Create** for your characters and worlds, **Series** for managing your series, and **SNS Auto** for posting to your Instagram and Threads. On the right are the **Agent Mode** tab, where you chat with Zennyang, and the **Single Panel** tab, where you make one panel at a time. The bar across the top handles saving, undo, publishing, and downloads.

For a closer look at each area, read [Studio layout](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/studio/studio-basics).

## Projects

Click **Projects** in your profile menu to see everything you’ve made in one place.

- **All** — A quick look at your recent projects, characters, and elements.
- **Comic Space** — All of your projects as cards. Click a card to open it in the Studio.
- **My Characters** · **My Elements** — The characters and elements you’ve saved.
- Use the **Create New Comic** button at the top to start a new project, and the **Trash** button to open the Trash.

## Account

Go to **Account** in your profile menu to manage your subscription and credits, billing history, and notifications. You can also see where your credits went. See [View your credit history](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/credits-and-billing/credit-history) for details. You change your name and profile photo on your **Community Profile**. The **Edit in Community** button on the **My Account** tab takes you there too — see [Change your name and profile photo](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/account/profile-settings).

## FAQ

**Is there a button in the Studio that takes me to Projects?**

There’s no direct button in the Studio, so you’ll go through the home page. If the **Save Project** button at the top has a purple outline, you have unsaved changes — click it first, because leaving through the logo may not save your latest edits. Then click the GenToon logo in the top-left corner to go home, and open **Projects** from your profile menu.

**I can’t find a project I made.**

You may be signed in to a different account, or the project may be in a team workspace or the Trash. Check that you signed in the same way, with the same account, as when you signed up. Projects made in a team workspace show up only after you click that workspace’s name near the top of the **Projects** page. If you have many projects, click “Load More” at the bottom of the **Comic Space** tab to see older ones — search only looks through the projects already loaded. If you deleted the project, look in the [Trash](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/studio/trash-and-restore). A brand-new project only appears after something is drawn or you save it.
