# Account settings and AI channel analysis

Tell GenToon what your social account is about, who it’s for, what it posts, and how it sounds, so automatic posting can use it.

## Overview

The **Account settings** step is where you tell the AI what your account is about. It opens once you’ve connected at least one social account in the **Connect accounts** step. Automatic posting uses what you write here to plan topics and write posts. If you only post by hand, you don’t have to fill it in.

You can only have one set of account settings. To change it, edit the one you have.

## Choose how to fill it in

The first time, you’ll see **Which way should this account go?**. Pick one of three ways.

- **Create with AI** — Write a few lines about your account and click **Fill in with AI**, and AI fills in the fields. What you write isn’t kept.
- **Learn from my past posts** — AI reads the bio and recent posts of your connected Instagram or Threads account, finds your voice, and fills in the fields. The first time, a consent window explains what it reads. If you don’t have enough posts yet, this option is dimmed and shows how many you need and how many you have. For a Threads account the post count isn’t known in advance, so if there are too few, you’re told after it reads the account.
- **Fill it in myself** — Go through each field and fill it in yourself.

The two AI options don’t cost credits. You see what they fill in before anything is saved, so check it, adjust it, and then save.

> **Note:** The consent window for **Learn from my past posts** lists what is read (your bio, account name, and recent posts, plus follower and post counts on Instagram) and which AI company sums it up. The posts it reads aren’t stored.

## What you fill in

Whichever way you fill it in, everything appears in the same groups, in the same order.

- **About the account** — Account name (required), industry, a one-line intro, and what you want to promote
- **Who reads it** — Who reads this account’s posts
- **What it posts** — The topics you post about
- **How it sounds** — Who’s speaking and the tone. **I speak for myself** is the default. If you pick **A character recommends me**, every post gets “#광고” (the ad label). The label can’t be put inside a video yet, so while this is picked you can’t post reel videos.
- **Look** — Characters, art style, and background music. AI never fills these in; you always choose them yourself.

> **Important:** If you pick an industry where the law requires certain details in ads, such as tutoring academies or law firms, a **What your ads must show** card appears. You can save with it empty, but automatic posting won’t create new posts until its required fields are filled in.

## Save and fill in again

- When you’re done, click **Save as is** at the bottom. After your first save, you move on to the **Publishing** step.
- Pressing Enter doesn’t save; use **Save as is** for that. In the topics field, Enter adds what you typed as a topic.
- After saving, you can still edit a field with the pencil button on its card, or use **Fill in again** to pick a way again and refill it in one go. Filling in again keeps your saved account name, who’s speaking, and the look (characters, art style, and background music).
- If you try to go to another step with unsaved changes, you’ll be asked whether to save them.

## FAQ

**I don’t like what the AI filled in.**

Before saving, you can edit the fields yourself or use **Pick again** to try another way. Filling in with AI doesn’t cost credits, but if you try many times in a short while, you may need to wait a moment.

**The **Learn from my past posts** option is dimmed.**

It’s dimmed when your connected account has fewer posts than the analysis needs. It shows how many you need and how many you have, so post more and try again, or fill it in another way. If you haven’t connected Instagram or Threads yet, you’ll be asked to connect one first.

**Can I have more than one set of account settings?**

You can only have one set of account settings. To change it, edit the one you have.
