# SNS automation at a glance

Post your comics straight to your own Instagram and Threads accounts, schedule them, and even turn on automatic posting.

## Overview

In the **SNS Auto** tab on the left side of the Studio, you can post the panels you’ve drawn to your own social accounts right away or schedule them. Once you set up your account settings, you can also turn on automatic posting, where AI plans the topics, draws the art, and posts at the times you choose.

Posting panels you’ve already drawn doesn’t cost credits. Credits are only used when automatic posting draws new art. Automatic posting starts in **Review first** mode, so a post goes up only after you approve it, and credits used to draw a post you don’t approve aren’t returned.

> **Note:** SNS automation is in the web Studio. It isn’t available in the app.

## Get started in three steps

1. Open the **SNS Auto** tab and connect your Instagram or Threads account in the **Connect accounts** step. For details, see [Connect your social accounts](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/sns/connect-accounts).

2. In the **Account settings** step, describe what kind of account this is and who you post for, what about, and in what tone. Automatic posting needs it, but you can skip it if you only post by hand.
3. In the **Publishing** step, post or schedule by hand and turn on automatic posting. The calendar in the same step shows what’s coming up and what has gone out.

While no social account is connected, the **Account settings** and **Publishing** steps are locked. Clicking a locked step takes you to the **Connect accounts** step. Once an account is connected, the **Publishing** step opens even if you skip **Account settings**.

## What differs by plan

SNS automation is available on every plan. What changes by plan is how many accounts you can connect, how often you can post by hand each week, and whether you can use automatic posting. See the **Pricing** page for each plan’s details.

On every plan, there’s a limit on how many posts each connected social account can send in 24 hours. If you reach the number of accounts you can connect, the connect screen tells you.

## Watermarks, AI labels, and ad labels

- **Watermark** — Posts get a mark on the same plans as downloads. Photo posts carry a handwritten “Gentoon” logo, and reel videos carry the text “gentoon.ai.” See [Watermarks](https://www.gentoon.ai/en/help/export-and-share/watermark) for which plans add one.
- **Your first post goes out without the logo** — Even on a plan that adds the logo, one post you publish to social media (usually your first) goes up without it. You’ll see **🎁 This post goes up without our logo** while writing that post. It’s once per GenToon account, not once per connected social account, and if that post doesn’t go out anywhere, you can use it on your next one. It doesn’t apply when you download the file and post it yourself.
- **AI label** — Because the art is made with GenToon, an AI-generated label is added automatically and can’t be turned off. On Instagram it’s the post’s AI label, and on Threads it’s a “#AI생성” hashtag at the end of the post.
- **#광고 (ad label)** — If you set the speaker to **A character recommends me** in your account settings, every post gets “#광고” as its first hashtag, and the label is shown on the art too. It’s required by law, so it stays on every plan. The label can’t be put inside a video yet, so while this is set you can’t post reel videos.

## Notifications

You get a notification when a post goes out or fails, when an account connection ends, and when an automatic post is ready. Clicking it takes you to the right screen in the **SNS Auto** tab.

## FAQ

**Does posting to social media cost credits?**

Posting panels you’ve already drawn doesn’t cost credits. Credits are only used when new art is drawn, as with automatic posting.

**Can I post to TikTok or YouTube?**

Right now you can post to Instagram and Threads. The TikTok and YouTube tiles show **Coming soon** and can’t be connected yet.

**Can I use it in the app?**

SNS automation is only in the web Studio. Comics you made in the app can be posted too, once you open them on the web with the same account.
