Invite friends and earn rewards

Invite a friend with your link or code, and you can both get credits.

Overview

When a friend signs up for GenToon for the first time with your invite link or code, your friend gets 100 credits and you get 100 credits. You can earn invite rewards for up to 10 friends in total.

You and a friend who joins through your invite automatically follow each other, so you’re community friends from day one.

Where to find it

  • Go to Account › Invite friends to find Your invite code, Your invite link, and the Friends you've invited list. In the GenToon app, you can send your invite code from the Profile tab › Invite friends.
  • Links you send with Share profile from your community profile also carry your invite. Once you’ve earned invite rewards for 10 friends, though, profile links no longer include it — after that, send the link or code from Invite friends so your friend still gets their sign-up reward.

Step by step

  1. Open Invite friends in Account.

  2. If your friend will sign up on the web, send your invite link with Copy link.

  3. If your friend will sign up in the GenToon app, send your invite code with Copy code. On the app’s sign-in screen, they tap Have a referral code? and enter the code.

  4. When your friend signs up through your invite, the result is decided right away — there’s no review to wait for. Invites that earned credits and invites connected without credits (Connected as friends) appear in the Friends you've invited list. Invites that didn’t qualify appear below it under Invites that didn't earn credits, with the reason.

Who qualifies

  • Your friend must be new to GenToon. Friends who already have an account can’t earn invite rewards.
  • The invite has to be connected within a day of your friend signing up — they can sign up right after opening your link, or enter the code when signing up in the app.
  • Each friend can receive the sign-up reward only once.
  • Inviting yourself doesn’t earn rewards. Invite rewards are also given only once per device, so none are given if another GenToon account was already created on the device your friend signs up with (for example, the phone or computer you signed up on), or if that device has already received an invite reward.
  • You can earn invite rewards for up to 10 friends in total. After that, friends you invite with the link or code from Invite friends still get their own sign-up reward, and you still follow each other.

FAQ

My friend signed up, but I didn’t get a reward.
Invite credits arrive the moment your friend signs up through your invite. Invites that didn’t qualify are listed on the Invite friends screen under Invites that didn't earn credits, marked No credits with a one-line reason, and that result won’t change, even if you wait or contact us. If your friend isn’t on that screen at all, their sign-up wasn’t connected to your invite. In that case, within a day of signing up, your friend can connect it in the GenToon app by going to the Profile tab › Invite friends and entering your code under Got an invite code?, or on the web by opening your invite link while signed in.
Should I send the code or the link?
Send the link to friends signing up on the web, and the code to friends signing up in the app. It’s fine to send both.
I don’t see the Invite friends menu.
Accounts in the GenToon partner program see a partner menu in that spot instead.
