See all questionsWhat is GenToon?
GenToon is a webtoon creation service where AI draws for you. Just type in the story you want to tell, and the AI creates the scenes. Then you can freely edit speech bubbles, panel layouts, and more in the Studio. Anyone can make webtoons — no drawing skills needed!
Can I use it for free?
Yes! You'll receive free credits right after signing up, so you can start creating AI images and using the Studio right away. You can also register characters and background elements, and a default mascot character 'Gen Cat' is provided automatically. Want to create more? You can upgrade your plan on the Pricing page.
What devices are supported?
GenToon works on PC web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.) and in the iOS and Android mobile apps. Log in with the same account to pick up where you left off on any device.
What can I do in the Studio?
You can add speech bubbles and text on top of AI-generated images, adjust panel sizes and layouts, place characters and backgrounds — everything you need to create a webtoon. Finished works can be exported as images or shared to the Community.
What is AI Agent mode?
It's a feature that lets you create webtoons through chat. Just say something like 'Create a 4-panel school romance comic' and the AI handles everything — from writing the scenario to composing panels, generating images, and placing speech bubbles. Supports Webtoon and Square formats.
