Memories (events) and the Chronicle
Let Zennyang turn what happens in each episode into “memories” for planning the next one, and remove any that are wrong.

Overview
As a series goes on, things pile up: “they had a fight last episode,” “there’s a secret nobody knows yet.” GenToon sums up the episodes linked to a world as event-sized memories, and when planning the next scenario it picks the ones that matter for the current story. Memories are collected in the Chronicle.
- Events — In which episode, who was involved, what happened, and how it changed things between them
- Where things stand — Each character’s current situation
- Threads — Story threads that haven’t paid off yet. They’re material for the next episode.
Where to find it
Select a world in the Studio’s Create tab and you’ll see the chronicle button on that world’s card. The Chronicle lays out Where things stand, Threads, and the events of each episode. You can also see them in the relationship map: click a character to see where they stand, their threads, and their events, or click a line to see the threads and events between the two.
How memories build up
Memories are only made from episodes linked to a world, and most of the time they build up on their own. Organizing them doesn’t cost credits.
- When you create the next episode in the Serial Room, the episode just before it is organized.
- When you publish an episode to the Community, it’s organized.
- An episode with at least a few panels that you haven’t edited for a while is organized automatically. An episode you edit after it’s organized is organized again the same way.
Organize episodes yourself
Open the Chronicle. If an episode hasn’t been organized yet, or you’ve edited it since, you’ll see Organize past episodes or Organize again.
Click it, and under Which episode should I summarize?, choose the episode to organize. Click a series to see its episodes.
When it’s done, you’ll see how many events were organized, and that episode’s events show up in the Chronicle. If you organize an episode again, only the events Zennyang organized are replaced.
How memories are used
- When planning a scenario in a project linked to the world, Zennyang picks memories that are important, recent, and related to the characters in this story. It doesn’t use all of them at once.
- When two characters who have a relationship in the relationship map appear in the same panel, it also refers to the most recent thing that happened between them.
- Sometimes a folded line near the top of the scenario card shows what Zennyang remembers for this episode. Open it to see the events, current situations, and threads used for this scenario.
Remove a wrong memory
You can’t edit a memory’s text, but you can remove memories that are wrong. A removed memory isn’t shown in the Chronicle or used in later scenarios. However, if that episode is organized again, an event you removed or gave a place to may appear once more as a new memory. If that happens, remove the new one.
- In the relationship map, click a character or a line, then click Wrong memory on the wrong event and confirm. You can undo it from the notice that appears right after. Remove a current situation with Not anymore and a thread with Drop thread (a cleared situation can’t be undone). In the Chronicle, click a character’s name on an event card to jump straight to the relationship map.
- Near the top of the scenario card, click Show on the memory line, then click This is wrong on the wrong item and confirm.
- If where the event happened matters, click Pick where this scene happens on the event card in the Chronicle and choose a panel from that episode or a setting you’ve already added.
