Overview

A team workspace is a shared space where several people can view and create projects together. Your own work stays in Personal Space, and team work is kept separately in the workspace. Anyone who’s invited can join as a member, whatever their plan.

Workspaces can be created on the Pro and Premium plans. Here’s how many each plan can create, and how many members each can have.

Where to find it

When you’re signed in, the site’s top menu shows a button with the name of the space you’re in (at first, Personal Space). Click it to open the Switch Workspace menu and move between Personal Space and the team workspaces you belong to. The button appears only if your plan can create workspaces or you’ve already joined a team, and it isn’t shown inside the studio. On a phone browser it’s inside the menu (☰), and the Projects page has the same space buttons near the top.

Creating a workspace

  1. Click the workspace button and choose Create Team Workspace. When the My Team Workspaces page opens, click the create button there.

  2. Enter a Workspace Name and click Create. The description is optional.

  3. Once it’s created, you go straight to the new workspace’s project list. Projects you create there are visible to your teammates.

Inviting members

  1. On the Projects page, click the workspace’s name near the top, click the gear icon (Workspace Settings) next to it, then click Invite Member. Only people with the Owner or Editor role can invite.

  2. On the Email tab, enter the email address of the person you’re inviting. On the Link tab, choose the link’s Validity Period.

  3. Set the Role to Editor or Viewer. For email, click Send Invite and the invitation email goes out (if it can’t be sent, the window shows a link to copy instead). For a link, click Generate Link, then copy the link and send it yourself.

  4. When the invited person opens the link and clicks Join, they join the team. If they aren’t signed in, they sign in, come back to the same page, and click it again. An email invitation can only be accepted by signing in to an account that uses that email address.

FAQ

I don’t see the workspace button.
The workspace button appears in the site’s top menu (not inside the studio) if your plan can create workspaces or you’ve already joined a team. Once you accept an invitation by clicking Join, the button shows up whatever your plan.
Can I join a team on the free plan?
You can join a team on any plan, including the free plan, once you’re invited. Credits for drawing in team projects come out of the owner’s account.
Can teammates see my personal projects?
Teammates can’t see your personal projects. Projects in Personal Space are visible only to you. To share one with your team, open that project card’s ⋮ menu on the Projects page and choose Move to Workspace.
