Find your way around
See at a glance where to find things in the top menu, the Studio, your Projects page, and your Account page.
Payment-related details here are provided for information only.
Overview
Most of what you do on GenToon happens in four places: the Studio, where you make comics; Projects, where your projects and characters live; the Community, where you read other people’s comics; and Account, where you manage your subscription and account. Use this page as a map whenever you’re not sure where to go. It describes the GenToon website. In the app, you move between screens with the tabs along the bottom — see Using GenToon on the web and in the app for the differences.
The top menu
| Menu | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| GenToon logo | Takes you back to the home page. |
| Characters | The character shop. Browse ready-made characters from GenToon and bring them into your own characters. |
| Community | Read comics other people have published, and leave likes and comments. |
| Studio | Opens the Studio, where you make comics. |
| MCP | Shows how to use GenToon from AI apps like Claude and ChatGPT. It appears in the top bar only when your window is wide enough; on a narrow screen such as a phone, it’s in the ☰ menu. |
| Resources menu (question-mark icon) | Takes you to the Help Center, FAQ, and Learning Center — and to the Blog, when there are blog posts in your language. |
| Notifications (bell icon) | Check new activity such as comments and likes. |
| Your profile picture | Opens your profile menu. |
Use the Pricing menu to compare plans and buy credits.
Your profile menu
Click your profile picture on the right side of the top menu to open it. The series you subscribe to and the ones you’re reading are collected under My library in this menu.
- Projects — See all your projects, characters, and elements, and get to the Trash.
- Account — Manage your subscription, billing history, account details, notifications, and friend invites.
- Community Profile — See your public Community profile and the comics you’ve published, and change your name and profile photo here.
- Log Out — Sign out on the device you’re using.
The Studio
This is where you actually make comics. Panels stack vertically on the canvas in the middle. The tabs on the left are Create for your characters and worlds, Series for managing your series, and SNS Auto for posting to your Instagram and Threads. On the right are the Agent Mode tab, where you chat with Zennyang, and the Single Panel tab, where you make one panel at a time. The bar across the top handles saving, undo, publishing, and downloads.
For a closer look at each area, read Studio layout.
Projects
Click Projects in your profile menu to see everything you’ve made in one place.
- All — A quick look at your recent projects, characters, and elements.
- Comic Space — All of your projects as cards. Click a card to open it in the Studio.
- My Characters · My Elements — The characters and elements you’ve saved.
- Use the Create New Comic button at the top to start a new project, and the Trash button to open the Trash.
Account
Go to Account in your profile menu to manage your subscription and credits, billing history, and notifications. You can also see where your credits went. See View your credit history for details. You change your name and profile photo on your Community Profile. The Edit in Community button on the My Account tab takes you there too — see Change your name and profile photo.
