Overview

When automatic posting is on, AI plans topics in advance from your account settings and draws the art before each posting time. The first time you turn it on, it uses Review first mode, so only posts you review and approve go out at the times you set. Only photo posts (Instatoon-style comics) are posted automatically; reel videos never are.

Before you turn it on

  • A connected social account and the settings you saved in the Account settings step
  • A plan that includes automatic posting. On the Free and Lite plans, you can only try one free post, and the Pro model is available from the Pro plan up. See plans and credit packs on the Pricing page.
  • If your industry requires certain details in ads, account settings with all of those fields filled in
  • Enough credits to draw the art

Try one post for free

On any plan, your first automatic post can be made without credits. In the Publishing step, click Make one post free on the automatic posting card to open its settings, then turn on the Automatic posting switch there to start (the first time, a consent window appears). We let you know when the first post is ready, and it goes out only after you review and approve it. On plans without automatic posting, just this one post is made, for the nearest day. The free post is drawn with the Standard model.

Turn it on and set it up

  1. In the Publishing step, click the button on the automatic posting card to open its settings, and turn on the Automatic posting switch. On wide screens, the same switch also sits below the step list on the left. The first time, a consent window appears. Tick the consent box and click Agree and turn on to turn it on.

  2. Open When to post and choose the days, how many posts a day, and the times, in that order. With several posts a day, the times need to be a few hours apart. How many posts a day you can choose depends on your plan.

  3. Open How to draw and choose Cuts per post, Model, and Cover. The credits each post will use with these settings are shown below. When you post to Instagram, it limits how many images one post can have, so you can’t pick more panels than that, counting the cover.

  4. Open How to post and choose how posts go out: Review first or Fully automatic.

Review first vs. fully automatic

  • Review first — The art is drawn ahead of the posting time, and you get the notification Your posts are ready. Only posts you review and approve go out. When several are ready, you can approve a whole day at once.
  • Fully automatic — This opens after you’ve reviewed a few posts yourself (the screen shows how many are left). After that, posts are approved and go out automatically unless you stop them during the review window.

Add your own story to an upcoming post

In the Coming up next list, click Write a story on a planned post, write your story in Story for this post (optional), then click Use this story, and just that post is re-planned around your story. If you close the box without clicking it, what you wrote isn’t saved. Leave it empty and AI picks the topic. You can change it until the art is drawn, and re-planning doesn’t cost credits. Posts made from your own story always need your review, even in Fully automatic mode.

Credits

Automatic posting uses credits when it draws. Each post costs the number of images (one per panel, plus one for a cover) times the price of one image: 13 credits per image with the Standard model, or 25 credits with the Pro model. Planning topics and changing the story don’t cost credits.

  • If you don’t have enough credits, that post is skipped without using any, and you get a notification. A skipped post keeps being retried for a while, even after its posting time has passed, and it’s drawn once you have enough credits. A post drawn late still uses credits, and if it goes out, it goes out later than the time you set.
  • Planned posts whose posting time is long past are closed without being drawn. No credits are used for those either.
  • If you decide not to post something that’s already been drawn, the credits used to draw it aren’t returned.

Stop automatic posting

Turn off the Automatic posting switch and no new posts are drawn from then on; even in Fully automatic mode, nothing is approved for you. The switch is in the automatic posting card’s settings in the Publishing step, and on wide screens also below the step list on the left. Posts you already approved stay scheduled and still go out. To keep one from going out, cancel it with Cancel post in the calendar and post lists. A post that was already being drawn when you turned it off is finished and its credits aren’t returned, but it only goes out if you approve it.

FAQ

Can reels be posted automatically?
Reel videos are never posted automatically. Automatic posting only sends photo posts; you post reels yourself after checking the video in the composer.
Automatic posting isn’t making new posts.
You may be out of credits, have required ad details left empty, have no account connected to post to, or have automatic posting turned off. The automatic posting card shows what’s blocking it.
When can I use the free post again?
The free post can be used once per account. If it ended before the art was finished (it failed on our side, or it closed before being drawn because its posting time had long passed), you can use it again.
