Overview

Open the composer with Post it yourself in the Publishing step to post by hand. You only need a connected account: if you haven’t set up account settings yet, you’ll see Post one now without account settings there instead. Posting panels you’ve already drawn doesn’t cost credits.

Post a photo post

  1. With the project that has your panels open in the Studio on the web, open the SNS Auto tab and go to the Publishing step. The app doesn’t have this tab.

  2. Click Post it yourself to open the composer. If you haven’t set up account settings yet, click Post one now without account settings instead.

  3. Under Cuts to attach, click the panels you want to post. They’re numbered in the order you pick them, and the first few panels start out selected for you. Cover below is on from the start. When an AI-suggested line fills the Opening line field, a cover with that line over your first panel goes out as the first image (the first scene of a reel). You can rewrite the line, or click Post without a cover to leave the cover out.

  4. Write your caption and choose accounts under Post to. To write a different caption for one account, click Write separately for this account.

  5. Click Post now to start posting. It can take a few minutes to finish.

Schedule a post

Click Schedule to show date and time fields. Choose a time and click Schedule it, and the post goes out automatically at that time. You can’t pick a time in the past, and there’s a limit on how far ahead you can schedule.

Post a reel video

Choose Reel video next to Cuts to attach in the composer to turn your selected panels into a vertical video and post it. You can post reels to Instagram and Threads. But if your account settings have the speaker set to A character recommends me, reels can’t be posted yet.

  1. Choose a song under Background music. The songs are free and set to the same volume. To post without sound, choose No music. If you picked a song in your account settings, it’s applied automatically.

  2. Click Preview the reel to make the video, then play it yourself.

  3. Once you’ve checked it, click Looks good, post now. Reels only go out after you’ve checked the finished video.

  • If you use a song, its creator’s credit is added to the end of your caption automatically. It’s the condition for using the song for free, so it can’t be removed.
  • Right now reels can’t be scheduled; you post them right after checking them.
  • Videos made in the Studio’s Reel tab can be sent to this composer with Post to social. Those videos have no sound, and you can’t add a song to them. See Make a Reel for details.

Add music in the Instagram app

To use music from the Instagram app, download the file from the Post from Instagram with music card in the composer and post it yourself in the Instagram app. You can copy the caption too, and it already includes the “#AI생성” label. Files you download this way follow your plan’s logo rules, and the first-post logo exemption doesn’t apply.

Calendar and post lists

See your posts in the Calendar, Drafts, Up next, and Done tabs at the bottom of the Publishing step. Times are shown in your device’s time zone.

  • Scheduled · Sending · Posted — The status changes as the post goes out.
  • Partly posted — It went out to only some of the accounts you picked.
  • Couldn’t post — It couldn’t be posted. The reason is shown with it.
  • Checking — The platform didn’t send back a result, so GenToon is checking whether it actually went up.

Posts that haven’t gone out yet can be cancelled with Cancel post.

FAQ

It says the post only partly went out.
Partly posted means it went out to some of the accounts you picked but not others. The reason it missed is shown on that account’s line. Posting the same thing again to every account would post it twice to the accounts that already got it, so when you post again, pick only the accounts it missed in the composer.
It’s stuck on Checking.
The platform didn’t respond while posting, so GenToon is checking whether it actually went up. Posting it again could post it twice, so please wait until the check finishes. If it still says this after a long while, check in that app whether the post went up, and contact us.
Can I cancel a scheduled post?
You can cancel it with Cancel post as long as it hasn’t gone out yet.
Does posting cost credits?
Posting panels you’ve already drawn and making reel videos don’t cost credits.
