Overview

To change an expression, an outfit, the background, or the dialogue in a finished panel, just ask in the chat. Zennyang sums up the changes on a card, and when you click Edit, only that panel is redrawn. Each edited panel costs one image at the model price you choose.

Edit a panel

Follow along as you fix a finished panel three ways: the edit window, Fix text, and the chat.

Point to the panel you want to change

  • Select it on the canvas — Click the panel. A tag just above the message box shows it’s selected. Whatever you send then starts with the panel number, so it’s treated as a request about that panel. To deselect, click the X (Clear selection) next to the tag.
  • Say its number — Include the panel number, like “Make the background in panel 3 a night scene.” You can mention several panels at once.

Step by step

  1. Select the panel or mention its number, then describe the change. For example: “In panel 2, make Harin smile.”

  2. An edit confirmation card appears. Check what will change in each panel.

  3. If you’re changing dialogue, edit that panel’s lines on the card. To remove the speech bubbles entirely, turn on No speech bubbles.

  4. Choose Standard mode or Pro mode. The card shows how many panels will be edited and the estimated credits.

  5. Click Edit to redraw just those panels. To skip the edit, click Cancel.

  6. The redrawn panel goes back into the same spot on the canvas.

Your dialogue is sent along as written

For edits that don’t involve text (expressions, outfits, backgrounds, and so on), the panel’s recorded dialogue (its speech bubble and narration lines) is sent along exactly as written. When there are such lines, the edit confirmation card shows how many will go along. The AI still redraws the whole panel, though, and writes the lettering again, so it can sometimes come out a little different. If that happens, see the FAQ below. If you do want the bubbles gone, say so clearly, like “Remove the speech bubbles,” or turn on No speech bubbles.

Go back to before the edit

  • Say something like “Put panel 2 back the way it was” in the chat to restore the earlier version. It’s free.
  • Or select the panel on the canvas: earlier versions appear as small thumbnails in a vertical strip, marked with a clock icon, to the left of the panel. Click the one you want to switch to it. It’s free. The strip shows on wider screens, such as a computer, and only once the panel has at least two versions. You can also pick one under Generation History in the Single Panel tab.

Finish panels that weren’t drawn

If drawing stopped partway and only some panels are done, a Not finished yet — want to keep drawing? card appears. Click its continue button, which shows how many are left, to draw only the rest. Those panels cost credits as usual. If you have fewer credits than one remaining panel costs, a Not enough credits to draw this card appears instead.

If you’re short on credits, click Top up credits on that card to top up on the Pricing page. After topping up, click the card’s button for the remaining panels to draw only the rest.

Tips for better edits

  • Ask for one or two changes at a time. Changing many things at once can affect parts you wanted to keep.
  • Say what should stay the same, too. For example: “Keep the composition, just make it a rainy night.”
  • When changing dialogue, put the exact new line in quotes.
  • Pro mode is more accurate for text and complex staging.

FAQ

Only the bubble text is slightly wrong. Do I need to redraw?
If only the words are wrong, you don’t need to redraw: change them for free with Fix text in the panel tools. It works in the web studio on a computer, for text inside light speech bubbles with closed outlines. Characters the font doesn’t have yet (such as Chinese characters, Arabic or Thai script) can’t be used. See Add and fix speech bubbles and text.
The edit made it worse.
You can go back to the earlier version for free by saying something like “Put panel 2 back the way it was” in the chat. Then try asking again with a shorter, clearer description of the change.
How is this different from the Edit button in the panel tools?
Both edit the art the same way: the Edit button in the panel tools is handy for one panel, and the chat for several at once. With the button you write the change in a window; in the chat you just ask in plain words.
