Overview

With a yearly plan, you pay for 12 months at once, and in return it’s at least 10% cheaper than paying monthly 12 times. It’s available on the Lite plan and above, and you can sign up only on the Pricing page of the website.

You pay once a year, but credits are refilled every month at your plan’s amount. You don’t get a whole year of credits at once, and unused plan credits don’t carry over to the next month. Credits you buy separately aren’t affected.

Where to find it

The Monthly / Yearly switch at the top of the Pricing page usually starts on Yearly, so you see yearly prices right away. If you see monthly prices, choose Yearly. Each card shows the monthly equivalent, the total charged once a year, and how much you save.

Subscribing yearly

  1. On the Pricing page, make sure Yearly is selected.

  2. On the plan card on Pricing, check the yearly total, the automatic renewal, and the early-cancellation refund rules, then click the button.

  3. Once payment is complete, your plan applies right away. In Account › Subscription, Billing cycle shows Yearly, with Next credit refill shown separately next to it.

Automatic renewal and reminders

Yearly plans renew automatically every year and are charged to your saved payment method. We email you 30 days and 7 days before renewal with the renewal date and the amount that will be charged. These emails are sent regardless of your notification settings.

Making changes during a yearly plan

  • Upgrade — choose a higher plan on Pricing: the difference for the remaining time is charged right away, and your renewal date stays the same. This month’s credit limit goes up in proportion to the days left in this month, and from your next refill you get the new plan’s full amount. The confirmation window shows the charge and your credit limit before you pay.
  • Downgrade — choose a lower plan on Pricing. It takes effect when your current yearly term ends, and a full year of the lower plan is charged that day. Until then, you keep your current plan.
  • Switch to monthly — choose Monthly in the switch at the top of the Pricing page, and your current plan’s card shows Switch to monthly when your year ends. Schedule it there, and your plan becomes monthly when the yearly term ends.
  • Switch from monthly to yearly — on Pricing, with Yearly selected, click Switch to yearly from your next billing date on your current plan’s card. It takes effect on your next billing date, when a full year is charged.

Canceling

  1. In Account › Subscription, click Cancel Subscription.

  2. Under How to cancel, check the option to use your plan until the yearly term ends and then cancel. It only turns off automatic renewal. To end now and get money back, ask through the Contact us link in the note below it. Within 7 days of paying, it’s handled as a withdrawal from the purchase; after that, as an early-cancellation refund.

  3. Click Cancel subscription to schedule the cancellation. A message shows how long you can keep using your plan.

  • If you cancel at the end of the period, only automatic renewal is turned off. Until the year you paid for ends, you keep getting your plan credits every month.
  • Request an early-cancellation refund through Contact us in the cancel window or by emailing service@gentoon.ai. We check it and refund your original payment method. Even after the refund, you can keep using your plan until this month’s credit period ends, and then it ends.
  • If you withdraw from the purchase within 7 days of paying, your plan ends at that point and your remaining plan credits are removed.

How early-cancellation refunds work

When you cancelWhat you get back
Within 7 days of paying (withdrawal)The amount you paid minus only the credits you actually used. One month of credits is valued at one-twelfth of the payment. There’s no cancellation fee
After thatThe months you’ve already used (months you received credits for, including the month you cancel) are recalculated at the monthly price and subtracted from what you paid. Then 10% of what’s left is deducted, and you get the rest back

The exact rules are in Article 6-2 of our Terms of Service.

FAQ

Do I get a full year of credits at once?
Yearly plans still get their credits month by month. You pay once, but credits are refilled every month at your plan’s amount. You can see the next refill under Next credit refill in Subscription.
What happens to the remaining months’ credits after I cancel?
If you cancel at the end of the period, you keep getting credits every month until the year you paid for ends. If you got an early-cancellation refund, your plan ends when this month’s credit period ends; if you withdrew within 7 days of paying, it ends right away.
I want to undo my cancellation.
Before the renewal date, you can undo it with Keep subscription. You’ll find it in Subscription. If you received a refund for this payment, the cancellation can’t be undone.
How long does a refund take?
Refunds go back to your original payment method once we’ve checked the request, and we email you the result. Depending on your card company, it can take a few more days for the money to show up.
